WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM
Aligned Health Practice offers a medically-supervised, non-surgical weight loss program geared towards creating sustainable lifestyle habits that stick around- even when the weight is gone!

Our medical weight loss program with registered dietitians, nurse practitioners, and personal fitness trainers is a comprehensive program that provides you with the tools and support you need to lose weight and keep it off.
Medical Supervision
A supervising nurse practitioner will assess your health and provide you with clearance to participate in the program. They will also monitor your progress throughout the program and make sure that you are safe and healthy.
Nutritional Counseling
A registered dietitian will work with you to create a personalized meal plan that meets your individual needs and goals. They will also teach you about healthy eating habits and how to make lasting changes to your nutrition and lifestyle.
Behavior Changes
The registered dietitian will also help to identify and address the emotional and psychological factors that may be contributing to your weight gain- referring out to a mental health therapist as needed.
Exercise
Pick to work with our personal fitness trainer 1-on-1 who will help you develop an exercise routine that is safe and effective for you. You can also opt to use one of three exercise prescriptions developed by our personal trainer: at home bodyweight, basic equipment (kettlebells, dumbbells, and resistance bands), or full gym access!

Medications
Weight loss medications may be prescribed by your nurse practitioner to help with appetite regulation, uncontrollable cravings, blood sugar regulation, and more.
Comprehensive Testing
Prior to the start, during, and after the program a series of testing is done to ensure safety, improve outcomes, and measure progress. Tests of note include initial blood work, metabolism testing (RMR), and Body Composition Analysis scans.

Virtual monitoring and Learning
Using a comprehensive, yet intuitive nutrition and fitness app, the RD can monitor progress, diary entries, and set specific nutrient targets related to goals. The app offers real time nutrient analysis for instant learning and reflection.

INITIAL CONSULTATION
Meet with our Weight Loss Program Coordinator to get your first InBody scan, discuss goals, go over insurance coverage and cost, and decide if this program is for you. If it is a good fit, the Coordinator will get you scheduled for your RMR test and with the Registered Dietitian, Nurse Practitioner, and Exercise Specialist of choice.

BIWEEKLY MEETINGS
You will meet with one of our Registered Dietitians (RD) for a biweekly nutrition therapy session. During these sessions you will review your current goals and with the help of your RD, make sure that your nutrition, habits, and lifestyle continue to support your health.

WEEKLY TRAININGS
Meet weekly 1-on-1s with a certified personal trainer (virtual or in-person) or you can follow a self-guided workout program.

INITIAL TESTS
We will then perform a Metabolic Testing (RMR) via indirect calorimetry with one of our Dietitians. This test will be repeated every 12 weeks to monitor for metabolic adaptations and prevent your metabolism from getting low.

VIRTUAL MONITORING
In our app, we'll be able to help monitor and coach through our intuitive nutrition and fitness app.

MEDICAL VISITS
We will schedule an Initial Virtual Session with Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) where medical history is reviewed, labs are ordered, weight loss medications are discussed and prescribed as necessary, a medical plan is created, and follow-ups with FNP scheduled. Ongoing medical follow-ups with our Nurse Practitioner are to make sure that your progress and this program continues to be a good fit for you! Our NP will also help you with medication management as you continue the program.
